Like any other chemical peel, this treatment involves the topical application of a special serum to the skin. The serum is given time to sink deeply into the sub-dermal layers of skin, treating skin from the outside for a comprehensive rejuvenation of all superficial skin concerns. After a set amount of time, the serum is gently cleansed from the skin, leaving your skin with a healthy golden glow.
While an ordinary chemical peel can accomplish many of the same tasks as WiQo BioRevitalization, where this unique chemical peel shines is how quick and effective this treatment is. Unlike other chemical peels, you won’t need to repeat treatments constantly. On average, most patients have four consecutive treatments spaced one week apart and only require annual treatments to maintain results.

Also unique to this treatment is the fact that, unlike other chemical peels, this treatment can be used on more areas of the body than the face. Common treatment areas include the neck, jaw, upper chest, and stomach.

Lactic acid is an anti-wrinkle and pigmentation-fighting ingredient found in professional-grade skin care products.

Derived from milk, lactic acid belongs to a class of anti-aging ingredients called alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs).
A chemical peel works by using a chemical — in this case, lactic acid — on bare skin. It removes the top layer of skin (epidermis). We will customize the strength of our chemical peels to the needs of the clients’ skin. Stronger formulas may also target the middle layers of skin (dermis).

Despite the name, your skin doesn’t noticeably “peel” off. However, the effects underneath the removed epidermis are noticeable: smoother and brighter skin.

Lactic acid is specifically used to treat hyperpigmentation, age spots, and other factors that contribute to a dull and uneven complexion. Other benefits of AHAs like lactic acid include improved skin tone and reduced pore appearance.

However, unlike AHAs such as glycolic acid, lactic acid is a bit milder. This makes a lactic acid peel a better choice for sensitive skin. Lactic acid may also be an option if you’ve previously tried another AHA and found the product too strong.
